Year of the Scythe
Vampires are most likely to die this year. After the previous Year of the Bone, mankind is still hunting vampires for past crimes and has perfected the pursuit by developing skills that are more cunning. Vampires find fewer places to hide, and are driven from society and even from their homelands.
Several notable vampires (many of them Ravens) have likened this year to a "wide scale cutting down of our kind." Other vampires consider it a reaping of what has been sewn, hence the scythe. Some legends involve the Grim Reaper in exterminating vampires. Vampires born during this year bear the mark of the Scythe.
